GUEST: Background actor Jessi Mullins
Quentin and Homer continue to search for the missing rocket.
“What did we do wrong?” asks Homer.
“I don’t know,” says Quentin. “I’ll check the math again.”
Homer leans down and takes a drink from the creek. He thinks a moment.
“Was there a wind that day?” asks Homer.
“I don’t remember,” says Quentin.
“‘Cause if there was, the wind probably came from the west,” says Homer, “which means that it would’ve pushed the rocket – ” Homer looks downstream. The tail of the missing Auk XIII is sticking out of the creek.
“Right there!” says Homer.
“Prodigious!” says Quentin, smiling.
At the high school, Miss Riley is teaching a class.
“…associated–” begins Miss Riley. The classroom door opens, and Quentin and Homer walk in with Auk XIII.
Down the hall from Miss Riley’s class, Principal Turner sees students rushing to the classroom.
“Mr. Hayes, where are you off to in such a hurry?” shouts Principal Turner.
In the classroom, Dorothy Platt is smiling at Homer, surrounded by a crowd of students. Principal Turner enters the classroom.
Okay everybody, back in your seats,” orders Mr. Turner. “Miss Stanton, Miss Blue, let’s go. Back in your seats. Mr. Hancock.”
