A steam locomotives chuffs through the night, whistle blowing. It’s raining.

Under the railroad trestle, Valentine and Homer sit in the car, in an awkward silence.

“You ever see that movie, ‘Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman‘?” asks Homer. Valentine looks at him, puzzled. Homer doesn’t know what to say next.

A car horn honks.

“Homer!” yells O’Dell.

“Down here! Homer!” yells Roy Lee.

Homer wipes the condensation off the window.

“What is it?” asks Valentine.

The Rocket Boys drive back through town in a pickup truck.
